DBB Jack-Up Earns Two More Years of MHI Vestas O&M

Business & Finance

DBB Jack-Up Services A/S and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S have extended their framework agreement for offshore wind operations and maintenance services until the end of 2017.

The companies signed a framework agreement for offshore wind O&M services in December 2014. “During 2015 we have experienced the benefits of the framework agreement, which enables us to cut through the red tape and move quickly when service is needed,” said Asger Pedersen, Senior Director of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind“We have seen a more efficient planning and execution of our O&M tasks and it was only natural for us to extend the agreement.”

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has delivered wind turbines to almost 20 different offshore wind farms in Northern Europe and the framework agreement covers all sites for which MHI Vestas Offshore Wind still has the O&M responsibility.

“We have been able to support one of the world’s largest offshore wind players at their every request this year. The efficiency of having the framework agreement in place has been clear in all aspects of the working relationship between our two companies,” said Thorsten Jalk, CEO of DBB Jack-Up A/S. “With contractual terms and conditions pre-arranged, we have been able to concentrate our efforts on a safe and fast execution of the job and thereby contributing to the industry’s overall goal of lowering the cost of energy.”
