Acta Marine Strengthens Its Offshore Wind Team

Business & Finance

Acta Marine has announced that Rob Boer will join its management board as managing director end of September.

Rob Boer (53) has held leadership positions at Dockwise, Nordic Heavy Lift, Van Es Group/Jack-up Barge and recently focused on the offshore wind service and support markets.

Acta Marine has set out to further develop and grow its services for the offshore wind industry. The new build DP2 construction support and walk to work vessel ACTA ORION is currently nearing completion and is expected to join the company’s fleet during November.

Through the recent takeover of Offshore Wind Services B.V. (OWS), the company added crew transfer services to its portfolio with a fleet of ten dedicated crew transfer vessels (CTVs) for support in construction, and operations and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

The further growth of Acta Marines’ offshore wind support business will be supported from a new office in Rotterdam, NL.

Acta Marine’s existing fleet of 40 coastal workboats, tugs and DP multicats form a strong and versatile offering for wind farm construction contractors and utilities/developers of offshore wind farms.

“The strengthening of our management board and broadening of our organisation will enable Acta Marine to continue its strategy to enlarge the company and be a preferred supplier of marine assets and services for the offshore wind industry,” says Govert Jan van Oord, managing director of Acta Marine.
