Edinburgh-headquartered tidal power developer Atlantis Resources Limited has appointed Stephen Ward the Director of Power Generation.

Ward is joining the company’s new executive management group following the relocation of Atlantis’ corporate headquarters from Singapore to Scotland.

Prior to joining Atlantis, Ward served as Head of Project Management UK at AREVA Wind, after which he moved to Offshore Operations at Adwen Offshore, AREVA Wind’s JV with Gamesa Offshore, where he was responsible for the project management, installation and logistics elements of several European tender submissions.

Ward was also a Senior Project Manager at ScottishPower Renewables from 2006 to 2012.

“I am delighted to welcome Stephen to the Atlantis team. His operational experience, insight and knowledge of the renewable energy and power generation sectors gained over many years will be a huge asset at a truly exciting juncture in Atlantis’ development,” Tim Cornelius, CEO of Atlantis, said.

”As a key member of the Executive Management Group, based in Edinburgh, he will be crucial in helping to drive the construction stage of the MeyGen project and increase the Company’s wider project development portfolio.”
