Vessels

Vroon has taken delivery of a DP2, SPS-coded, 68-metre subsea-support vessel (SSV) VOS Sugar, expected to provide advanced, efficient and versatile options in offshore sub-segments such as wind farm support, walk-to-work and IRM operations.

The vessel was handed over to the company in a short ceremony held on Tuesday, 2 February 2016, at Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding in China.

VOS Sugar left the shipyard last weekend at the start of her journey to the North Sea. After arrival in Europe, she will be further outfitted and available for the 2016 subsea season. She will be operated by Vroon Offshore Services Den Helder.

VOS Sugar is the first of two newbuilding SSVs being built at Fujian. Her sister vessel, VOS Star, will be delivered to Vroon later this year.

The VOS SSV portfolio is based on vessel designs developed by Vroon’s Performance and Engineering Department.
