MHI Vestas’ V164-8.0 MW wind turbine has been installed in Måde at the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark.
In July 2015, European Energy A/S ordered two V164-8.0 MW turbines from MHI Vestas to install them on land as part of a project developed in cooperation with the local partner BMC Energi. The project will test installation methods and O&M procedures of the 8 MW turbine onshore, before serial offshore deliveries begin.
The developer also ordered two V117-3.45 MW turbines for a testing process of the next-generation of the 3 MW platform.
