In early December, Seajacks Scylla started her journey from a Samsung Heavy Industries yard in South Korea to the Port of Rotterdam on-board the heavy load carrier vessel HLV Osprey, however, bad weather prolonged the vessel’s voyage.

After the vessel had been discharged to Gibraltar waters from the heavy-lift transporter Osprey, it was towed to Gibdock for reactivation works and then departed for Great Yarmouth.

Scylla is outfitted with 105-metre long legs that have the ability to install components in water depths of up to 65m. The vessel is equipped with a 1500t leg-encircling crane, incorporates useable deck space in excess of 5000m², and has over 8000t of available variable load.
