The developers of the Friesland offshore wind farm have created an informative map with photo visualisations of the planned project, so local residents and other interested parties could have a panoramic image of the future wind farm in IJsselmeer.

The photo visualisations can be viewed on a mobile phone by using QR codes from the map.

The visualisations show the proposed wind farm in a 130-degree perspective, as seen from ten locations: Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, Makkum, Kornwerderzand, Breezanddijk, the monument on the Afsluitdijk, Den Oever, the Wadden Sea and Texel.

Interested parties can order one or more copies of the Friesland offshore wind farm map free of charge on the project’s website , where they can also view the photo visualisations online.

The offshore wind farm will comprise 89 wind turbines installed in the Frisian part of the IJsselmeer, near Breezanddijk.

The construction of the project is scheduled to start in 2019 and the wind farm is expected to be put into operation the following year.

Earlier this month, the project secured a EUR 7 million loan from Funs Skjinne Fryske Enerzjy (FSFE).
