Marine Energy 6 Consultants (ME6), a new marine consultancy with a focus on the offshore wind sector, has opened in Lowestoft.

The company has been launched after Gardline made the decision to close the Coastal Services department earlier this year. “After being made redundant but being passionate about the marine and the renewable sector, I decided to set up my own company offering my marine experience and to pass on my local knowledge gained from over 25 years,” said Michael Martins, head of Marine Energy 6 Consultants.

“Marine Energy 6 is fully dedicated to providing superior vessel & procurement as well as reliable staffing and plenary offshore/onshore solutions,” Martins said. The company also provides agency, procurement and product supply for various marine activities.

Since opening one month ago, Marine Energy 6 has formed its first partnership with Pan Ocean from China, which designs and builds coastal vessels and offshore structures aiming to sell its designs and products across Europe, where ME6 will be the sole agent for its designs.
