The North Hoyle and Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farms Community Funds in these areas are now open for applications. The combined funds are now worth over GBP 190,000 annually.

Applicants can apply until Tuesday 31st August 2016 by contacting the Rhyl or Prestatyn and Meliden Community Partnership or by collecting an application pack from The Pop In, Prestatyn.

“We are really keen to encourage as many applications as possible,” Katy Woodington, Senior Community Investment Officer at RWE Innogy UK, the operator of North Hoyle and Rhyl Flats offshore wind farms, said.

“This fund can provide the communities in the area with sustainable support whether that is to launch a new project, fund building work or even support running costs and salaries. It is designed to meet the needs of the local communities and I’d urge local voluntary and community organisations seeking financial support to apply today.”
