The 165 MW Nobelwind offshore wind farm is expected to be completed in the second half of 2017 and will feature 50 Vestas V112-3.3MW turbines installed some 45 km off the coast of Ostend.

In September 2015, Jan De Nul won an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for 51 monopile foundations, including 50 foundations for wind turbines and one for the OHVS.

The company was also contracted to supply and install scour protection and install the wind farm’s 50 wind turbine generators.

The offshore wind farm is being developed by Belgium’s Parkwind NV, Japanese Sumitomo Corporation and Dutch investment fund Meewind.
