The installation of the blades, delivered to the site by lift boats L/B Caitlin, and L/B Paul, is expected to start shortly, Deepwater Wind, the owner of the wind farm, said.

Brave Tern installed the first tower sections at the site on 2 August, shortly after arriving with the nacelles from GE’s factory in St Nazaire, France.

The image of the first nacelle being installed at the site also shows the Atlantic Pioneer, the first US-flagged wind farm crew transfer vessel, hard at work at the site.

All five Haliade 150-6MW turbines are expected to be installed by early September.

The wind farm is planned for full commissioning by the end of the year.
