Photo of the Day: Wikinger Jackets Enjoying Sunrise at Lindø

Bladt Industries today posted a picture taken this morning at its Lindø facilities, showing Wikinger jacket foundations. 

The first jacket foundations built by Bladt for the Wikinger offshore wind project left the company’s facilities at Lindø Industripark on a barge in mid-July.

Bladt Industries has fabricated 41 four-legged jackets and 164 piles for the 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm, which will consist of 70 wind turbines. The remaining 29 foundations are being produced by Spanish company Navantia.

The jacket foundations weigh approximately 650 tonnes and have a footprint of 23 x 23 metres each.
