The video shows the arrival of the main components of the 32 V164-8.0 MW wind turbines, the first of which was recently installed at the site some 8 kilometres off the coast in Liverpool Bay by A2SEA’s installation vessel Sea Installer.

These turbines are the largest in the world and this is the first time they have ever been used in an offshore wind farm, DONG Energy, the owner and developer of the 258MW wind farm, said.

The installation period is scheduled to last for approximately three months.

The wind farm is an addition to the operational 90MW Burbo Bank and is expected to be commissioned in 2017.
