NorSea Group’s subsidiary NSG Wind has signed a framework services agreement with Siemens Wind Power, which includes subsea, marine coordination, port services and logistics.

“It is a stamp of approval for NSG Wind and NorSea Group which proves that the important players in the offshore wind market are interested in cooperating with companies which can provide a package of services. We look forward to agreeing on the first project deliveries and then it is up to us to deliver first class service,” said Morten Basse , CEO in NSG Wind.

NorSea Group established NSG Wind in August, with headquarters in Esbjerg, Denmark.

According to the mother company, NSG Wind has been set up to deliver the full range of offshore wind industry services to wind farm operators, wind turbine manufacturers and sub-suppliers, among others.

“European offshore wind markets continue to grow and the markets in Asia and North America are mushrooming. There is therefore a growing need for the palette of services the NorSea Group has built over the past 50 years, including seabed investigation, transport cable inspection, onshore and offshore logistics, installation, service and maintenance – as well as specially designed vessels and other offshore equipment. Given the market situation, staking on offshore wind is an obvious step for us to take,” CEO of NorSea Group, John E. Stangeland , said upon the subsidiary’s establishment.
