Windwave Workboats’ wind farm support vessel Susie S is now tied up next to its sister vessel Freddie S in Grimsby for the winter, after completing work on a Siemens retrofit project on the Westermost Rough wind farm.

A couple of months earlier, Freddie S returned from a job at the London Array offshore wind farm.

Over the last three and half months, Susie S had been providing crew transfer and light cargo support for a team of Siemens technicians who were delivering a transformer retrofit on the SWT-6.0-154 6MW turbines at DONG Energy-operated Westermost Rough wind farm.

“Well done to her, the crew and technicians! It’s been a real pleasure working with the Marine Control team at Westermost Rough and we hope to see them again in the future,” Windwave Workboats said.

This was the second Windwave’s vessel that worked on Westermost Rough, after Freddie S finished its support role there four months ago.

At the end of September, Freddie S completed a short role providing 24hr jack-up support to a team of Siemens heavy lift technicians at the London Array offshore wind farm.
