Prior to being laid up by its previous manager, Norway’s Atlantic Offshore, in August 2016, the vessel had continually served Statoil’s oil & gas projects for over 30 years.

The 75-metre DP AHTS Lev Twister has now joined Lev Taifun and Lev Tornado and will be deployed on offshore wind projects in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

“The takeover of the ship is the logical next step for the further development of our company. We believe in offshore wind as part of the future energy supply and would like to use our ships to help this energy sector become a success story,” the company’s owner, Rolf Rohden, said.
