8.2 Consulting’s inspection portfolio regarding wind turbine generators and conformity checks along grid connection certification activities have been accredited as inspection body by DAkkS (German Accreditation Body) according to DIN ISO/IEC 17020.

The 8.2 Consulting AG is part of the international 8.2 Group, and has over 22,000 technical inspections of on- and offshore wind turbine generators as well as more than 150 conformity checks along the certification of grid connections; latter in co-operation with the VDE.

8.2 Consulting AG stated that it is carrying out inspections on wind turbine generators in accordance with the specifications of BWE and in compliance with the guidelines of BSH for about 10 years and that with the latest accreditation it had reached an internationally recognised standard.

“Our customers have benefited from high quality services along the entire value chain ever since. We are pleased to emphasize this by the accreditation as inspection body by DAkkS” , said Helge Westphalen , quality management representative of 8.2 Consulting AG.

Benjamin Quader , Head of Business Unit Offshore, said: “We always aim for sustainable quality assurance in the field of renewable energy. Our work contributes to improve the life time and add value to renewable energy projects and therefore making a significant contribution to the new energy policy. With the accreditation we again demonstrate our suitability as independent experts and clearly show that 8.2 Consulting belongs to the most skilled experts in the market.”
