The TPs were the last of the total of 60, all of them being stored in Sassnitz before installation.

Bladt produced the transition pieces, including the electrical design, and EEW SPC delivered the monopiles.

The first set of transition pieces arrived to the Mukran Port in Sassnitz mid-August, while the installation of monopiles is underway, after Van Oord’s heavy lift installation vessel Svanen installed the first monopiles at the end of August.

The 385MW Arkona wind farm, a joint venture between E.ON and Statoil, will comprise 60 Siemens 6MW wind turbines installed in water depths from 23 up to 37 metres.

The wind farm, located 35 kilometres north-east of the island of Rügen, is scheduled for commissioning in 2019.
