RCG has established a local office in the Xinyi business district of Taipei and has signed a contract with its first senior-level executive, Michael Chang, who will serve as a Director of the Taiwan business, providing strategy, public affairs, and technical support for RCG’s clients in Asia, Europe and North America.

“After almost a year of travel to Taipei and numerous meetings with stakeholders, I am delighted that we are now formally set-up, and ready to start trading as a local consultant in Taiwan. We are also enormously pleased to welcome Michael to the RCG team; Michael’s knowledge of renewable energy, and in particular offshore wind policy and regulations in Taiwan is second to none – he is going to be a great asset to the firm, and of course clients we serve,” Gareth Lewis, Managing Director, New Markets, RCG, said.

Over the next 12 months, RCG plans to hire additional team members in Taiwan to support the rapidly developing offshore wind industry, as well as providing support, knowledge sharing, and training from its consultants in London, Glasgow, Amsterdam, and New York.
