The regulators now have 90 days to respond to Fishermen’s Energy’s amended application, which reportedly is to be submitted in May.

The news comes shortly after EDF Renewable Energy announced plans to acquire the 6-turbine project.

Located some three miles off the coast of Atlantic City, the USD 200 million demonstration project comprises six Siemens 4MW turbines.

The Atlantic City Wind Farm project lost the government funding in January 2017 after missing a deadline to secure a power offtake agreement.
