Bech-Bruun is providing counseling services to CIP for the offshore and onshore wind industries and will use the new office to support the Danish fund management company in establishing closer working relationships with clients on an international level.

According to Bech-Bruun, the office will be launched in September and will initially be headed by its partners Peter Østergaard Nielsen and Jakob Østervang.

”Danish experts are in increasing demand outside their own jurisdiction. We assist on some major wind turbine projects and see a growing demand in for instance the USA and in Asia for Danish industry specialists,” Simon Evers Kalsmose-Hjelmborg, Managing Partner at Bech-Bruun.

“The office in New York is an important step for us towards strengthened advisory services and working relationships with our international clients – wherever a wind project would be located.”

In August 2016, CIP bought a 100% stake in Offshore MW LLC, a company holding a 166,886 acre (675km2) offshore wind energy lease located south of Massachusetts.
