During the third cable installation campaign, Siem Aimery will install 41 inter array cables, which will be laid and buried between the wind turbines and the Offshore Transformer Module (OTM) foundations.

The CLV will be backed by the cable support vessel Siem Barracuda and cable trenching vessel Grand Canyon, with the TSV Grand Canyon I (or III) set to work on cable burial, while the CSV Siem Barracuda will support inter-array cable installation activities in the Northern portion of the Beatrice wind farm, conducting cable pull in, testing and termination activities, working in parallel with the CLV Siem Aimery.

The third campaign will also see the recovery of three trenching trial cables that have been surface-laid and secured by clumpweights.

Within the first inter-array cabling campaign in November/ December 2017, 16 cables were laid and buried. The second campaign was carried out from March to May 2018, when Siem Aimery installed further 34 inter-array cables.

The 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm, being built in the Outer Moray Firth in Scotland, has also hit the turbine installation phase and saw its first Siemens Gamesa 7MW wind turbine up in mid-July.
