AgileTek, Blue Wind Ink Offshore Wind Deal in South Korea

The UK-based engineering consultancy AgileTek has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blue Wind Engineering to cooperate on expanding within the offshore wind industry in South Korea.

The two parties also agreed to share bilateral knowledge about future projects and joint sales strategy within the regional offshore wind market.

“South Korea is a key market in terms of offshore wind for AgileTek. The ambitious targets of offshore wind energy set up by the Korean government mean that the market is going to experience fast development in the near future and we regard this as a fantastic opportunity to export our expertise in fixed and floating offshore wind to the region,” said Manuel Pimentel, AgileTek Business Development Manager in Asia.

“Having previously worked with Blue Wind Engineering on a cable technologies review, we know that both companies share the same ethos and will work well together to achieve our ambitious plans within the region, while also continuing to support our South Korean clients.”

AgileTek is a UK-based engineering consultancy focused on conducting studies and analyses of flexible pipes, subsea power cables, umbilicals, marine hoses, cable protection systems and SURF ancillaries within the offshore wind, oil & gas and wave power sectors.

Headquartered in South Korea, Blue Wind Engineering was established to contribute to the development of wind power industry in the country, offering services ranging from the design of wind farms to the design and certification support of wind power components, production and construction.
