New Seabed Services Company Comes Into Market

Business & Finance

The UK-based Nautilus Associates Ltd and a group of specialist investors have established a new seabed services company dedicated to the offshore renewables and oil & gas industries.

Seabed and Offshore Solutions Ltd. (Seabed Solutions) is said to be established to address a gap in the seabed services market and to bring all technical skills required for offshore oil & gas and renewables assets under one umbrella.

The new UK business will provide solutions for all seabed related matters during the life-cycle of offshore energy assets, including offshore wind, wave, tidal, oil & gas, and associated infrastructure.

The company’s services include seabed rectification, boulder removal, scour prevention, cable stabilization, ROV operations, as well as UXO assessment, removal and detonation, among others.

“We are delighted to be launching Seabed Solutions at such an exciting time for the offshore energy industries, with some of the world’s largest offshore renewables projects operating and under development immediately off the UK coast,” said Johnathan Reynolds, Managing Director of Nautilus.

Based in OrbisEnergy in Lowestoft, Seabed Solutions is led by Managing Director Martin Sisley, who previously held the same position at James Fisher Marine Services, Red7Offshore and Ocean Installer.

“We are thrilled to be launching Seabed Solutions after several months of developing the business concept. We know from discussions across the industry that there is a major gap in the seabed market for a solutions-focussed provider that really delivers what clients need,” said Sisley.

“Seabed Solutions will do things a little differently. We are offering our clients an impartial and independent assessment of their problem, developing and implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions.”
