Glomar Offshore Buys Bourbon Subsea Duo

Glomar Offshore has acquired subsea support vessels Bourbon Arethuse and Bourbon Amilcar, which are set to serve the renewables and oil & gas markets.

Bourbon Arethuse and Bourbon Amilcar will respectively be renamed to Glomar Worker and Glomar Supporter, the company said.

After modifications and upgrades at Globaltic Marine’s yard in Gdynia, Poland, the two vessels will be dedicated to serving renewables and oil & gas clients in the North and Baltic Seas on subsea and survey projects.

Glomar Offshore bought the two vessels from Bourbon Offshore and Halul Offshore Services, while Grieg Shipbrokers facilitated the transaction.

The 58.7m long Bourbon Arethuse is a Conan Wu design multi-purpose platform supply vessel with four points mooring. It has a 377m² deck area and one AHC offshore crane and can accommodate 46 persons.

Bourbon Amilcar is a 60m long multi-purpose platform supply vessel also equipped with a four points mooring system. It can accommodate 44 persons.
