The multi-purpose, self-propelled jack-up vessel will carry out one-month mobilization to prepare for pre-piling works at the 950MW project in the UK.

Apollo was constructed by Croatian shipbuilder Uljanik Shipyard and was delivered to DEME in August last year. The company held the naming ceremony for the vessel last month.

DEME is the EPCI contractor for the wind farm’s turbine foundations and three offshore substation foundations and is in charge of the transport and installation of the OSS topsides.

Moray East, located 22km off the Scottish coast, will comprise 100 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines expected to be fully up and running in 2022.
