Rebuilt in 2015, the 42m DP1 Ice Class vessel will supplement the existing Bibby HydroMap fleet and will commence seismic survey operations on Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II in the Dutch North Sea on behalf of Vattenfall during July.

According to Bibby HydroMap, this acoustically quiet vessel is ideal for a range of tasks including geophysical surveys, UXO detection surveys, cable depth of burial surveys, benthic habitat surveys, geotechnical investigations, and subsea inspections.

Bibby HydroMap CEO Gary Collins said: ”We are delighted to be chartering the SeaZip Fix for the package of work on Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II on behalf of our client Vattenfall and look forward to a successful project.”

Bibby HydroMap has worked on the Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II wind sites since March.

Located 22km from the coast of the Netherlands, the 760MW Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II will be the world’s first offshore wind farms to be built without public subsidy once completed in 2022.
