Under the contract, Hellenic Cables is in charge of the design, manufacture and testing of the 33kV inter-array submarine cable.

The company will produce 23km of cable at its plant in Corinth, Greece, and is planning to carry out the delivery in early 2020.

Hellenic Cables stated that it is currently expanding its inter-array cable production capacity in the Corinth plant in order to supply a wide range of cables for offshore wind.

Ørsted fully or partly owns 11 operational offshore wind farms in the UK and is currently constructing Hornsea Project One and Hornsea Project Two. The company also has the Hornsea Project Three, Hornsea Project Four and Isle of Man offshore wind projects in development.
