The 605MW Kriegers Flak will comprise 72 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines installed some 15-40 kilometres off the Danish coast.

The turbines will be installed on monopile foundations for which Bladt Industries is manufacturing and delivering the transition pieces (TPs).

The first delivery of stubs took place at the end of September, RG Rom Gummi said, and now all 288 stubs with neoprene have returned to the manufacturer in order to be welded on to the boat landings.

Vattenfall plans to start the offshore construction work on the wind farm once the Danish Energy Agency grants the final permission for the project, which is expected in January 2020.

Once built, Kriegers Flak will be the largest offshore wind farm in Denmark.
