The vessel, built at Cheoy Lee Shipyard in China, was completed in August after a year in construction and delivered to Europe to service the offshore wind sector.

According to BMT, Njord Wind has a refined hull based on data from the company’s existing 26m and 21m vessels that are currently operating across Europe and Asia.

The 23m long vessel incorporates Njord Offshore’s next-generation wheelhouse geometry which uses a full-height, forward-facing window to provide maximum visibility.

Last July, Njord Offshore signed a contract with BMT for two 23m CTVs. The vessels feature a twin CPP installation supplied by Servogear and are powered by MAN D2862 engines, giving a predicted sprint speed of 25.5kn, whilst carrying 11t of deadweight.
