The event is sponsored by the ORE Catapult and Welsh Government and supported by Marine Energy Wales and Marine Hub Cornwall.

Over 100GW of floating wind capacity has been identified in the Celtic Sea, providing significant supply chain opportunities, the organisers said.

Back in October, organizations from Ireland, Wales, and Cornwall agreed to work together on progressing floating offshore wind projects in the Celtic Sea.

The agreement included the establishment of the Celtic Sea Alliance and the Celtic Sea Offshore Floating Wind Cluster.

The alliance is also working on securing a pipeline of at least 1GW of floating wind in the Celtic Sea before 2030, expected to attract in excess of GBP 2 billion worth of regional investment.
