EDF Renewables and ESB are holding a series of supply chain events for the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind project in March.

The aim of the events is to showcase how more Scottish companies can help support the delivery of the 450MW offshore wind farm.

Meetings will be held in East Lothian on 2 March, Fife on 3 March, Dundee on 4 March, and Aberdeen on 5 March.

The project team and the Tier 1 contractors will give a comprehensive overview of the scope of work to be delivered throughout the project’s construction and highlight potential opportunities available to the local supply chain.

“We want to maximise the local supply chain and employment opportunities as much as we can and that is why we are hosting these supply chain events in March as it will allow our Tier 1 contractors to give the supply chain a detailed insight of the project,” said Matthias Haag , NnG Project Director.

“We would really appreciate hearing from any local businesses who are interested in NnG and who feel they have something to offer the project. I would encourage as many businesses as possible to come along to these supply chain events in March.”

Neart na Gaoithe will feature 54 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines located off the coast of Fife. The 450MW project is expected to enter offshore construction this summer, with full commissioning in 2023.
