Global Wind Service (GWS) has established a branch in Taipei, Taiwan, to support the local offshore wind market.

GWS said that having a separate branch in Taiwan is part of its growth strategy and an important step to support its partners in the growing Taiwanese offshore market.

Represented by Regional Manager Hans Hansen, the ambition of the branch is to develop and grow locally to secure further projects and build a local workforce.

GWS is sharing the facility with the existing Fred. Olsen Ocean branch office.

“We are very excited about this establishment. The Taiwanese market for offshore wind holds an enormous potential for development and growth, making it the natural next step for GWS,” said Lars Petersen, Chief Commercial Officer at GWS.

“It has long been our ambition to establish ourselves on the Taiwanese market, and we feel that now is the time. The market is picking up and so is the number of projects secured by GWS.”
