COW is developing offshore wind projects off the Pacific Ocean coastline of Chiba Prefecture in Japan.

Now, with Tokyo Gas on board, there is a combined team of more than 30 people including management and employees from each of the three companies that are working together to bring the projects to realisation.

According to the joint venture’s news from last year, Chiba Offshore Wind is pursuing projects that have a combined capacity of approximately 600 MW.

Tokyo Gas, Japan’s largest provider of city gas, said it would continue expanding its renewable power business, both domestically and overseas, to achieve its renewable power transaction volume target of 5 GW by 2030 and to reach its Net Zero objective.
