In total, Master Builders Solutions will be supplying MasterFlow 9500 and MasterFlow 9800 to 222 offshore foundations over the next three years.

“2020 has been a very busy year for the offshore team in Asia as we continue to strengthen our position within the region. We are pleased and grateful that our customers have once again decided to select MasterFlow as the material for their foundations and we look forward to making the projects a success for all stakeholders involved,” Master Builder Solutions Head of Offshore Asia Pacific, Andy McGregor, said.

The largest of the three projects, with 111 wind turbine foundations and two substation foundations, is the 900 MW Greater Changhua 1 and 2a wind farms.

The project comprises Changhua 1 with a capacity of 605 MW, which will be located at a water depth of 34-44 metres, and Changhua 2a with a capacity of 295 MW.

The company’s operations to supply these three major projects are well underway with the first deliveries expected to arrive in Taiwan in February 2021, the construction chemicals supplier said.

“It has been an unprecedented year principally with the current pandemic challenges,” said Dr. Hicham Abel, President of Asia, Middle East & Africa Region, MBCC Group.

”However, our team’s chariness and tenacity to continuously strive for business continuity have been a proven track record making us the trusted partner in the offshore wind industry. We not only have the long established local presence but offshore technical expertise and support in all emerging offshore wind markets in Asia specifically in Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, China and Taiwan, which enables us to provide timely and quality services for our customers.”
