This is the first of 333 tower sections in total that are being manufactured locally by the consortium of CS Wind and Chin Fong Machine Industrial for the project.

Ørsted selected Port of Taichung as the project’s construction hub and the Operations and Maintenance base.

The towers will support 111 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD offshore wind turbines, the Asia Pacific variant, installed at the site 35-50 kilometres off the coast of Changhua County.

The construction of the wind farm is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
