During the meeting, to be held on 22 April, investors will present the progress of works related to the development of the Baltica offshore wind farm from connection infrastructure to the transmission system, including the scope and tenders planned in the near future, as well as investment milestones.

The representatives of both companies will discuss the Baltic Sea potential for the development of offshore wind power and the legal framework for the construction of offshore wind farms in Poland.

The meeting participants will also be informed of the Baltica offshore wind farm project timetable and milestones, the updated status of procurement processes, and the timetable of future procurement activities.

They will also get to know about the formal aspects of awarding public contracts in the JV Partners’ proceedings and the tools used in the contracting process.

PGE and Ørsted both own 50 per cent of the shares in the offshore wind project Baltica 2&3, together comprising the Baltica offshore wind farm, the largest offshore wind project in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea.

The first stage of the Baltica offshore wind farm, the 1,045 MW Baltica 3, is planned to become operational in 2026. The next stage, the 1.5 GW Baltica 2, is to be completed by 2027.

A couple of months ago, PGE and Ørsted made an offer for seabed acreage in the Polish Baltic Sea, which is directly adjacent to the 2.5 GW Baltica offshore wind farm in hopes to expand the project.
