Valemo to Support Saint-Nazaire Offshore Wind Farm Commissioning

GE Renewable Energy and Endiprev have selected Valemo to commission the 80 GE Haliade 150-6 MW wind turbines for the Saint-Nazaire wind farm offshore France.

This move followed after GE picked Endiprev to be the main engineering service supplier for the commissioning of the first commercial offshore wind farm in France, the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm.

Last week, the first of 80 GE Haliade 6 MW units was installed at the 480 MW offshore wind farm.

In February, GE selected Global Wind Service (GWS) for the load-out and installation of the wind turbines at the offshore wind farm.

Saint-Nazaire, also known as Parc du Banc de Guérande, is scheduled to be commissioned this year.

The offshore wind farm is owned and developed by Eolien Maritime France (EMF), a consortium of EDF Renouvelables, Enbridge, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
