Euskalforging to Produce Flanges for Dogger Bank C

Spain-based manufacturer of rolled rings euskalforging has won a contract to produce flanges for the 1.2 GW Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm. Spain-based manufacturer of rolled rings euskalforging has won a contract to produce flanges for the 1.2 GW Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm.

Under the contract, the company will ring roll 87 rings for transition pieces and 87 rings for monopiles with an outside diameter larger than 8 metres.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm is being built in three 1.2 GW phases known as A, B, and C. The project is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (40 per cent), Equinor (40 per cent), and Vårgrønn (20 per cent).

Last year, the Spanish company was awarded a contract to deliver flanges for the Dogger Bank A offshore wind farm.

Euskalforging Flanges for Dogger Bank A

Dogger Bank C is the third phase of the offshore wind project, located around 131 kilometres off the east coast of Yorkshire.

Once completed, it will be the world’s largest wind farm, generating 3.6 GW of green energy, enough to power roughly six million homes a year.

The project will feature GE Haliade-X 13 MW and 14 MW wind turbines scheduled to deliver first power in 2023 and be fully commissioned in 2026.
