Davi Plate Rolls achieve official acceptance at Sif’s facility in Maasvlakte Rotterdam

Rotterdam, Netherlands – October 2024 – Davi, a leader in the production of innovative rolling technology, is proud to announce the successful final acceptance of their Plate Rolls by the Dutch client, Sif, at their newly built complex in Maasvlakte Rotterdam. This area, notable for being an artificially created strip of land, is so innovative that mirrors the technology housed within Sif’s production facility.

Successful Implementation and Testing
The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for Line 1 was completed last month, featuring the integration of Davi’s MCB ZA-45 for rolling and MAV 45-520 for rerolling. This configuration enables the rolling of both cones and cylinders, catering to diverse manufacturing requirements. Following positive pre-SAT results in August, the final compliance check conducted has led to the official acceptance of the machines.

Exceptional Team Performance
Key to the project’s success has been the exceptional leadership of Davi Field Service Engineers, who have functioned more as site managers than mere installation technicians over the past months. Their professionalism and practical expertise have facilitated a smooth installation process and impressed our client. Davi’s commitment was further demonstrated during the “productive training” sessions led by Davi Technicians, where Sif operators were trained on the new equipment while simultaneously beginning the production of the first project-specific products.

Looking ahead, the preliminary SAT for Line 2 is scheduled to commence in these days, with completion targeted by October. This phase will continue to harness the innovative technology provided by Davi, ensuring ongoing enhancement of Sif’s production capabilities.
