Ocean Winds has begun leasing the Świnoujście Offshore Terminal in Poland for the BC-Wind offshore wind farm.
The installation terminal in Świnoujście will play a key role in the preparation, transport, and installation of foundations and transition pieces. Ocean Winds will be the first tenant of the terminal to fully utilize its potential and all available space for the BC-Wind project.
The terminal lease began in early September 2026 and will last until the fourth quarter of 2027. During this period, the Świnoujście Offshore Terminal will be a key element of the logistics and installation support for the BC-Wind project, supporting the construction of the offshore wind farm.
The Świnoujście Offshore Terminal was designed to support offshore wind energy projects in the region. Its infrastructure allows for the reception of units used in the construction of offshore wind farms and the logistical handling of components, including their unloading, storage, preparation, and loading onto installation units.
"The commencement of leasing of the Świnoujście Offshore Terminal is a significant milestone in the BC-Wind project. The terminal is well-positioned in relation to our investment area and provides a vital element of the backbone for the next phase of work. We are now focused on preparing the terminal for foundations and ensuring a smooth commencement of offshore installation work."
Installation work on the BC-Wind project's foundations will be carried out using specialized installation vessels and precise positioning systems. Monopile installation is planned for the turn of the first and second quarters of 2027, while the installation of transition elements is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2027.

Ultimately, the terminal will constitute a strategic base for the ORLEN Group for the implementation of the second phase of offshore wind development – Baltic East and Baltic West."
The BC-Wind offshore wind farm is Ocean Winds’ first project in the Baltic Sea. Located approximately 23 kilometres off the Polish coast, the development will comprise 26 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines with a planned total capacity of up to 390 MW. The facility will be capable of supplying renewable energy to nearly half a million Polish households annually.
Ocean Winds’ commencement of the lease for the Świnoujście Offshore Terminal is significant not only for the execution of the BC-Wind project but also for developing domestic capabilities in servicing offshore wind investments. The terminal will serve as a site where Polish port infrastructure is utilized for one of the farm's key construction stages—a phase requiring precise logistics, proper component preparation, and collaboration among specialized partners. This marks an important step in building practical experience within the domestic port sector regarding the implementation of offshore wind energy projects, Ocean Winds said.
