OW Ocean Winds’ Dieppe–Le Tréport offshore wind farm has reached the halfway point in turbine installation, with 31 out of the 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines now installed at the site located 15 kilometres off the city of Le Tréport and 17 kilometres off the city of Dieppe, France.
The 500 MW offshore wind farm is owned by Eoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT), a consortium comprising Ocean Winds, Sumitomo Corporation, and Banque des Territoires.
"The 500 MW project continues to progress through the strong collaboration between Ocean Winds, our project partners Sumitomo Corporation and Banque des Territoires, and the many suppliers, partners and local companies contributing to the project."
The first turbine was installed at the wind farm by Jan De Nul’s vessel Vole au Vent back in June.
