LD TravOcean, a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LD Armateurs) specialised in subsea cable installation and protection, has taken delivery of the DP2 multipurpose support vessel TVO Mariner, previously known as SIDDIS Mariner, following the acquisition announced in April.
The 88.3-metre vessel, built in 2011 to Norwegian design standards, features a payload capacity of around 2,500 tonnes, a 950-square-metre working deck, advanced dynamic positioning, and accommodation for up to 70 personnel.
TVO Mariner was delivered to LD Armateurs in mid-September and will support a range of activities, including telecommunications cables, cable repair projects and offshore wind projects.
The vessel will operate under the French International Register (RIF) and be crewed by seafarers from LD Armateurs. Technical and ship management activities will be overseen by LD Armateurs, while subsea operations will be conducted by LD TravOcean’s specialist teams.
