EMF Selects Saint-Nazaire Offshore Substation Team
Atlantique Offshore Energy and its consortium partners GE Grid Solutions and Société de Dragage International (SDI), part of the DEME Group, have won a contract to design, manufacture, and install the electrical offshore substation for the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm.
The contract was awarded by Eolien Maritime France (EMF), a consortium between EDF Renouvelables and Enbridge, the developer of the 480MW project. It was signed during the launch of the project in Saint-Nazaire.
The Saint-Nazaire wind farm will feature 80 Haliade 150-6MW wind turbines manufactured in France and installed some 12 kilometres offshore the Loire-Atlantique. The commissioning of the wind farm is planned for 2022.
EMF is also developing the Courseulles-sur-Mer and Fécamp offshore wind projects with a combined capacity of almost 1GW. EDF Renouvelables and Enbridge, together with innogy, have just won a tender to construct and develop the 600MW Dunkirk offshore wind farm.
Atlantique Offshore Energy is Chantiers de l’Atlantique Business Unit specialized in offshore constructions.
