The turbines are pre-assembled and loaded out on DEME Offshore’s jack-up vessel Sea Installer from Peel Ports Great Yarmouth prior to being transported and installed at the site located some 43 kilometres from the coast of Lowestoft.

The first wind turbine was installed at the site in June 2019, and the wind farm delivered the first power to the UK grid in early September 2019. The full commissioning is expected in 2020.

The wind farm will be operated and maintained from a new operations and maintenance base at Lowestoft Port.

The East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm is a joint venture between ScottishPower Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, and Green Investment Group.
