BlueFloat Energy, Greenvolt to Jointly Tackle Offshore Wind Projects in Portugal

Spain-headquartered BlueFloat Energy and Greenvolt have joined forces to develop offshore wind projects in Portugal.

According to the partners, Portugal holds great potential for offshore wind, which is now recognised by the national policymakers who seek to unlock the potential of this technology to deliver on the country’s decarbonisation targets.

Portugal has recently identified draft areas for offshore wind development as part of the government’s plan to award 10 GW of capacity that would be grid-connected by 2030.
