OEG Renewables, COENS Partner for South Korean Offshore Wind Projects

Business & Finance

OEG Renewables and COENS have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on offering pre-construction, construction, installation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) services to offshore wind projects in South Korea.

The partnership between OEG and South Korea’s COENS combines OEG’s knowledge in delivering offshore energy solutions and COENS’ local capabilities and resources to target the South Korean offshore wind market.

The country is rapidly expanding its offshore wind capacity, with a goal of 14 GW installed by 2030, said OEG.

COENS is an integrated services provider, headquartered in Busan, South Korea. Established in 2001, the company has over 20 years of experience in managing and executing workforce solutions and other technical services for international projects.

When it comes to OEG Renewables, the company has provided integrated service solutions to all the major offshore wind developments in Taiwan, supporting their construction, and O&M programmes.

The company, part of OEG Energy Group Limited, was launched in 2023. In May 2024, OEG Renewables signed an MoU with Sojitz Machinery Corporation to offer renewable service solutions to the offshore wind market in Japan.
