Replacement Cable for EnBW Baltic 2 to Arrive in Rostock

Wind Farm Update

With EnBW Baltic 2 in the Baltic Sea, about 32 kilometers north of Rügen, one of the largest offshore wind farms in Germany is under construction at the moment.

At the same time, EnBW is building a service station on the land of the Kraftwerks Rostock. When the wind farm goes into operation, service deployments will be coordinated from there. Around 10pm on Wednesday night (January 14), the service station will accommodate an important delivery: almost 3,000 meters long and 110 tons heavy replacement cable for EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm.

Once completed, EnBW Baltic 2 will be able to generate electricity for around 340,000 households per year. The offshore substation is installed as well as 68 foundations. In addition, 34 wind turbines have been erected. Moreover, 59 inter-array cable lines are already in place.
