DEA Prolongs Consultation Period for Sæby Wind Farm

Authorities

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has extended the deadline for public hearing of EIA for Sæby nearshore wind farm.

New deadline for comments is 24 August, 2015. The deadline is extended to give local MPs, in the newly elected parliament, and others a better opportunity to comment on the EIA.

This year, the DEA launched a call for tenders for nearshore wind farms totaling 350 MW in six sites. Sæby is one of the designated wind farm areas.

The tender will be closed in the spring of 2016, with wind farms expected to be completed in 2020.

Other wind farm sites are: Vesterhav Nord, Vesterhav Syd, Sejerø Bugt, Smålandsfarvandet, and Bornholm.
