Due to its size, Norfolk Vanguard is classed as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) and will require extensive engagement and consultation with the local communities in Norfolk. This is in line with requirements set out by the Planning Inspectorate for such projects.

Stephen Pomeroy, Chief Executive at Remarkable Group, said: “This project is an incredibly important one for the renewable energy industry in the UK and demonstrates the continued confidence in offshore wind around the UK. We’re delighted to be involved with a scheme of this scale, and to bring our integrated consultation and engagement expertise to bear on a project of such national significance.”

Remarkable Group’s major projects construction, energy and infrastructure division, Remarkable Pendragon, will be servicing the account, headed up by director, Jamie Gordon.

On the back of this appointment, Remarkable is expanding its regional office network with a new base East Anglia, and is currently in the process of recruiting further team members to work out of the new office, based in Norwich.

“We are looking forward to working with Remarkable as Jamie’s team has a lot of experience working with sustainable energy companies and has a good track record in engaging with communities on complex planning projects,” Jason Ormiston, Manager of Public and Regulatory Affairs & Stakeholders (UK) at Vattenfall, said.

“Also, Vattenfall is pleased that Norfolk Vanguard has already created jobs in Norfolk with Remarkable establishing a new base in Norwich on the back of their appointment by Vattenfall.”
